I would like to share my passion, and journey that lead me to be a chiropractor.
After suffering bloody noses, chronic growing pains, a lazy eye, migraine headaches and general colds and flues as a child, my parents worried abut my health. They made a life changing decision; they took me to see the local chiropractor. My general health was bad, and I had a 37degree scoliosis, the chiropractor informed me.
Getting some regular chiropractic adjustments, I soon started feeling better. 18 months later x-rays confirmed the scoliosis had decreased to less than a 10 degree curve. Amazing!!! I was no longer getting sick, I had no headaches, no growing pains. Seeing my health and strength improve I was hooked. I believed the power of Chiropractic!
In 1982 I started my chiropractic career at Palmer University, this is the renowned university named after the founding Chiropractor, D.D Palmer. In 1988, shortly after graduation, I moved to Australia. Setting up practices in Clermont, Middlemount, Dysart and Moranbah, before settling in Emerald, 3 years later.
I have devoted my career to caring for those of the Central Highlands, and even though life has moved me away, I continue to travel back to Emerald, where I feel welcomed and at home. I have found Emerald to be truly a great place to live & work.

Roxanne is in her 38th year of chiropractic practice.
Roxanne has experience in both manual and low force adjusting techniques and can tailor her approach to meet patient’s individual preferences and needs.
Originally from Adelaide. Roxanne was inspired to follow a chiropractic path after being dissatisfied with the lack of options offered to her by medicine when she suffered from severe lower back pain during her years of stage dancing.
Roxanne began her chiropractic career as a chiropractic associate for 2 ½ years in Mornington, Victoria. In 1990 Roxanne relocated to Cairns, Queensland where she established the practice which grew into a multi-chiropractor practice. In 2022, Roxanne relocated to Warrnambool, Victoria. Longing for the Queensland climate again, Roxanne returned to Queensland in 2011 and settled in Deception Bay. Roxanne then worked as a locum chiropractor for 3 years before starting her own practice in Deception Bay.
Done with the hustle and bustle of the city life, Roxanne has relocated to Emerald as a permanent member of Alive Chiropractic team and is excited to return to a regional lifestyle.
Roxanne loves the outdoors especially walking her two rescue dogs and spending hours in the garden.
